4.2 – independent children’s lawyer professional costs

The following stages set out all professional fees available for Independent Children’s Lawyers (ICLs) at different stages of Commonwealth family law and child support matters, where applicable:

• Stage 1 – first court hearing and FDRS for ICLs
• Stage 2 – litigation for ICLs
• Stage 3 – trial costs for ICLs.

Where a court event occurs which is not covered in these stages, fees listed in fee table 4.1 may be available to the ICL via an extension application, for example, stage 2G – interim contest hearing, federal family courts.
