This handbook sets out the criteria that must be met in order for someone to qualify for a grant of legal assistance. It is also a step-by-step guide through the entire grants process.
It is written mainly as a practical resource for lawyers – Victoria Legal Aid's (VLA) in-house lawyers, private lawyers and community legal centre lawyers. However, it is also useful for clients, students and anyone else wishing to understand VLA’s grants process.
