A grant of legal assistance for spousal maintenance may be available under the following guidelines:
- Guideline 6.1 – advice and negotiation in spousal maintenance matters
- Guideline 6.2 – FDRS in spousal maintenance disputes
- Guideline 6.3 – litigation in spousal maintenance disputes.
This may include assistance to apply for or respond to an application for:
- a spousal maintenance order, including an application to discharge or vary an order (see Guideline 6.3)
- enforcement of a spousal maintenance order (see Guideline 6.3)
- arrears of spousal maintenance (see Guideline 6.3).
